Lyno thinking (in pinstripe) at the Gertrude Street Enoteca.

Finalist in the Alice Bale Art Award 2008. Glen Eira City Council. December 2008.

This has to be my most favorite portrait of Lynn (ok, that’s a little difficult to confirm), but it certainly moves me more than the other paintings… and to think my feeling about the painting was right is added happiness. One of the  Twenty Melbourne Painters called the portrait ‘quite a quaint piece’. I’ll take that thanks.

I find it intriguing and am incredibly drawn to someone in deep thought, especially when they’re looking straight at you but perhaps not even realising. This precise moment was captured between our conversations at the Gertrude Street Enoteca.

Not for Sale. Fluid acrylic and ink on wood panel. 8″ x 10″.
