Winter Light at The Convent Daylesford

Winter Light, at The Convent in Daylesford, was the second body of Parisian facades and consisted of oil paintings on canvas, and also etchings.

The first Winter Light exhibition at Brunswick Street Gallery, was so rewarding, so energising, I just had to go back to Paris and find more ‘French characters’. This time I realised them in oil… I wanted more substance, stronger personality and more depth. The etchings allowed me to express the detail, the lines in the architecture, the wonkiness of age in the often sloping buildings.
