So thrilled to be part of St.Luke Artist Colourmen’s Exquisite Palette exhibition for this year.
Did you know I won in 2007?!
This year, a two colour linocut. I’m so inspired by the linocut artists exhibiting at QG&W that I wanted to experiment a bit more. I thought it’d be a good idea to do this with a familiar subject and so converted my etching, Cup into a rasterised image. From there I printed a laser copy and transferred the laser straight to two pieces of lino (one for each colour).
I love lino for its simplicity and for the fact that it distracts the pain signals and gives me a way to manage in the evenings.
What I’m not crazy about, is that I miss the drawing part. I’ll have to work on that.
So, ta da! Here’s my exquisite palette for 2018 which I might ad has just been printed on our new press which originally belonged to the amazing Trudy Rice.
Yes, it will be for sale! Contact Tacit for more information.
